Selection Criteria

Our number one criterion is humour. We love it in any form — slapstick, silly, goofy, gross-out, observational, punny, you name it — as long as it’s not unkind. Other important factors we’ll be considering are:

  • craft of the writer
  • appropriateness to target audience
  • a range of readability
  • a variety of themes, content and genres to appeal to different audiences.
  • cultural, gender, ability and geographical diversity
