Jessica Scott Kerrin

Halifax-based Jessica Scott Kerrin is the best-selling author of 16 works of children’s fiction. Her debut series – and arguably her funniest - was her eight chapter-book run called Martin Bridge. Then, for some reason, she got more serious, although she still finds her spelling mistakes on drafts to be hilarious. Her books have now been translated into six languages. When not writing, Jessica loves teaching workshops to teen and adult authors. She’s managed art galleries, a dance school and museum programs. She’s worked with artists, performers and curators, all of whom have inspired Jessica’s stories. Other adventures that feed her work include flying her drone, paddle boarding with her bird dog and staying clear of lobster traps aboard her boat aptly named Cape Fear.
